In the event of non-compliance, there is a risk of disconnection by the energy supplier. Conversely, the energy supplier must also ensure that it provides its customers with a grid with high voltage quality.

High voltage quality is generally defined as the correspondence between the characteristics of the mains voltage specified in the DIN EN 50160 standard with regard to the shape, level and frequency of the voltage and the actual mains voltage.
